The history of placer gold mining in the Yukon is not complete without seeing a dredge that continued to operate until the late 1950s. Your guide will give you a tour on this 350-ton pontoon boat where you will see the inner workings of this engineering achievement.
Each part of the dredge is clearly elucidated, and you will leave understanding just what a simple yet clever engineering feat it was to use them.
