Walk down the time tunnel transporting you back to 1898!
Colorful characters are there to show you the town including our own Dredge Jail, a schoolhouse where you can leave your mark, and all the other buildings we have refurbished. Dress up clothes are available for you to take some memorable photographs.
Our interactive displays and museums include Gold Secrets, a museum devoted to mining and ivory, lots of relics, and a dredge brought down from the Klondike where it operated until the mid-1950s. This self-guided tour is available in six languages.
Our three movie theaters continuously show a presentation on the northern lights, Charlie Chaplin, in The Gold Rush, and the story of our historic dredge and how it came to Skagway.
If you are looking for good shopping, we offer one of the largest collections of gold nuggets as well as Alaskan made jewelry. In addition, our gift shop has an exceptional collection of mining related souvenirs and tools, children’s books, tour-related items, and a dog house filled with plush toys for children and edible gifts for dogs!
Hungry? Enjoy our home-baked cookies and other goodies in our Snack Shack, or stop by The Alaskan BBQ restaurant for the buffet lunch.
Relive the Gold Rush of 1898!
