Walk down the time tunnel transporting you back to 1898!
Colorful characters are there to show you the town including our own Dredge Jail, a schoolhouse where you can leave your mark, and all the other buildings we have refurbished. Keep your eyes open, though. There is a sheriff and a jail, and you need to be on your toes for swindlers that are there to mine the miners.
Our interactive displays and museums include Gold Secrets, a museum devoted to mining and ivory and lots of relics.
If you are looking for good shopping, we offer one of the largest collections of gold nuggets as well as Alaskan made jewelry. In addition, our gift shop has an exceptional collection of mining related souvenirs and tools, children’s books, tour-related items, and a dog house filled with plush toys for children and edible gifts for dogs!
Hungry and thirsty? Enjoy our famous home-baked cookies and taste our amazing hand-crafted Gold Rush Root Beer, the Howlin’ Cream Soda or the Wild Ginger Ale produced in our own Soda Factory.
Relive the Gold Rush of 1898 and become part of Alaska’s history and culture!
