Learn moreThe Best Tour & The Best Guide Nugget Barlow
We booked this “mega tour” through our cruise—White Pass Yukon Railway, Gold Rush history, and a stop with musher dogs—and it was incredible! Yes, the scenery around Skagway is jaw-dropping, but what truly made it unforgettable was our guide, Nugget Barlow. For the full 6 hours, Nugget was a firework of fun—endlessly knowledgeable about Skagway’s rich history and at the same time a nonstop stream of quick jokes. Blink, and you’d miss one! His humor, warmth, and storytelling turned what could have been just another excursion into a highlight of our entire trip. If you want breathtaking views and a guide who makes you laugh from start to finish, ask for Nugget. He’s one of a kind (the best kind!) and made our Skagway experience one we’ll never forget.

Gold and Dogs
We had such a fantastic time gold panning and meeting the sled dogs during our visit! Earl E. Bird was the highlight of the tour—he has such a fun, engaging personality and really made the whole experience memorable. He kept us entertained the entire time, while also sharing great insight. Gold panning was a blast, and getting up close with the dogs was unforgettable. I’d absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Skagway—it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

Best Tour in Skagway
Klondike Mike was the best tour leader I’ve ever had - super knowledgeable, fun, and entertaining. Kept everything interesting, and made sure that everyone felt included in the experience. Highly recommend both Mike and Alaska 360 tours.

Big Nugget
We took the “Big Nugget” tour with Nugget Barlow as an excursion with our Disney Wonder cruise in August and loved it. Panned for real gold, enjoyed a great lunch, toured some gold rush history and met the dog sled team.

Nugget Barlow was an amazing host, funny and knowledgeable. The whole cast at the site are really into the tour, so it was a great time. Two thumbs up!
If we could give them 10 Stars we would!
Alaska 360 puts on a wonderful day of touring. We couldn't have been happier with the day we spent with them. Such a gem! Early Bird was absolutely the most amazing tour guide we've ever had. He was a riot from when we first met him at our cruise ship dock until we said goodbye in downtown Skagway. His recommendation of a food establishment for us to grab lunch was perfect! Everything was great!

Great experience with a lot of enthusiasm out here in Skagway! Have some patience and pan a couple of times if you can. Great team working out here.

Great excursion
Our experience was amazing! We got to hold the puppies as well as see a demonstration on dog sledding. Money well spent. Everyone there was super friendly!

A truly gold experience!
Got a bus to Dredge town with our lovely tour guide Max Glacier! Max kept us entertained with stories and history surrounding the gold rush years. Enjoyed panning for gold and Waylon our friendly professional gold panner was really entertaining and helpful. Also met the amazing team of muster sled dogs and their owners who were so knowledgeable and interesting, plus we got to hold some husky pups a huge bonus. Before you leave definitely get yourself a cookie from the store...delicious. Thanks to everyone involved.
